BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Philippines is a country of diverse culture– a product of the different countries that colonized the motherland years ago. Spanish, American, and Japanese culture continue to influence our everyday lives, despite the initial horror and atrocities that took place during past wars. Up till this day, remnants of our history continue to live on. A keepsake– it is important that we value our history and heritage. So much as to instill it in our daily lives and pass it on to the next generation. For it is our own culture and identity, we should be proud of our ancestors and beginnings. We should keep close to our hearts the teachings, beliefs, and traditions they have given to us. The Philippines is a kaleidoscope of beautiful and unique cultures, all shown in this blog, which will open your eyes to the Elysium that is our motherland.
